Terms & Conditions
The terms that govern your use of Akoma Hair and your purchases — under the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
1 Acceptance of terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Akoma Hair website, and your purchase of any products or services from us. Akoma Hair is a business operated by Wintech Solutions, and references to "we", "us" or "our" in these Terms mean Wintech Solutions. By browsing our website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.
2 Definitions
- "We", "us", "our" means Wintech Solutions, the operator of the Akoma Hair business;
- "You", "customer" means any person who uses our website or places an order;
- "Products" means the hair products, wigs, bundles, extensions, hair care items and related goods we offer;
- "Order" means a request submitted by you to purchase Products.
3 Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. Where you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and placing orders.
4 Products, pricing & availability
- All prices are quoted in Ghana Cedis (GHS) and, where applicable, include taxes as required by law.
- Each product listing states the hair type (human, synthetic, or blend). We take care to describe and picture products accurately, though slight variations in colour, length or texture may occur.
- Products are subject to availability. We may limit quantities, or withdraw a product, at any time.
- While we strive for accuracy, errors in price or description may occur. If we discover an error affecting your order, we will contact you and you may confirm the corrected order or cancel it for a full refund.
5 Orders & contract formation
When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the Products. Your order is accepted, and a binding contract is formed, only when we confirm the order and/or dispatch the Products. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order — for example, where a product is unavailable, where there is a pricing error, or where we suspect fraud — in which case any payment made will be refunded.
6 Payment
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include mobile money and card payments. Payments are processed by licensed third-party payment providers operating under the Payment Systems and Services Act, 2019 (Act 987) and Bank of Ghana directives.
- You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.
- Orders are processed once payment is confirmed; for cash-on-delivery or pay-on-pickup options (where offered), payment is due on receipt.
- We do not store your mobile money PIN or full card details.
7 Delivery & pickup
We deliver across Ghana and offer pickup at designated pickup points. Delivery times and fees depend on your location and are shown at checkout. While we work to meet estimated delivery times, these are estimates and not guarantees.
Risk in the Products passes to you on delivery or pickup. Please inspect your Products on receipt and report any issue promptly (see Section 8).
8 Returns, cancellation & refunds
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please choose carefully, as hair products are personal-care items subject to hygiene rules.
Your statutory cancellation right
Under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772), consumers in certain electronic transactions have a right to cancel within seven (7) days. This right does not apply to goods that, by their nature, cannot be returned — including hair products and other personal-hygiene items that have been opened, used, worn, or had their seal or packaging broken.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your Product arrives faulty, damaged, or is not what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs. Where a valid claim is confirmed, you are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate, consistent with the Sale of Goods Act, 1962 (Act 137).
Conditions for returns
- Items must be unused, unworn and in their original, sealed packaging;
- Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required;
- Approved refunds are made to your original payment method or via mobile money, within a reasonable period after we receive and inspect the returned item.
9 Product quality & warranties
Consistent with the Sale of Goods Act, 1962 (Act 137), Products supplied to you will correspond with their description and be of satisfactory quality and reasonably fit for their ordinary purpose. The lifespan and appearance of hair products also depend on proper care, handling and maintenance, which is your responsibility once the Products are received.
10 Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse our website, including by: attempting to gain unauthorised access; interfering with its operation or security; submitting false orders or fraudulent payment details; or using it for any unlawful purpose. Misuse may constitute an offence under the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) and other applicable laws.
11 Intellectual property
All content on this website — including the Akoma Hair name and logo, text, images, graphics and design — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
12 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of our website or Products. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under Ghanaian law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
13 Privacy
Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
14 Governing law & disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of our website, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue amicably. Where a dispute cannot be resolved, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
15 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
